Where we work

Chartered Accountants for businesses in Pune

We work with clients in Pune from our Nashik office. Most of this work concerns the auto and engineering supply chain that connects Chakan, Bhosari and nearby estates with Satpur, Ambad and Sinnar.

Anil Khatri and Associates is a firm of Chartered Accountants based in Nashik. We work with clients in Pune from our Nashik office. The firm has no office in Pune.

A large share of this work arises in the auto and engineering supply chain running from Chakan, Bhosari, Talegaon and Ranjangaon to manufacturers in Satpur, Ambad and Sinnar. OEM terms, job-work chains and group structures take the same shape at both ends. When one end of a group is accounted for in Pune and the other in Nashik, the GST returns, inter-unit pricing and bank figures are often prepared on different assumptions, and the mismatch tends to surface in a departmental query or a bank review. Process units around Kurkumbh, and the sales or holding functions that Nashik groups keep in the city, account for the remaining Pune work.

The sections below describe where Pune engagements tend to originate and why the issues resemble those of Nashik district. They also explain how the work is run from Nashik, with meetings in Pune where required. Types of work are described; no clients are named.

Where Pune work usually sits

Anil Khatri and Associates has no office in Pune. We work with clients in Pune from our Nashik office, and most of that work follows the automotive and engineering chain which already ties Pune estates to plants in Nashik district.

  • Chakan, Bhosari, Talegaon, Ranjangaon

These estates sit in the same supply chain as Satpur, Ambad and Sinnar. A forging or machining unit in Nashik may supply an assembler at Chakan; a Pune group may own a plant at Sinnar or buy from one. Annual price reductions, tooling owned by the customer and long credit periods are found in identical form at both ends of that chain.

  • Kurkumbh and process industry

Chemical and pharmaceutical units near Kurkumbh bring process-industry questions, among them batch costing and the treatment of by-products. Export incentives arise as well, and transfer pricing applies once a foreign related party is involved. A few of these groups also own a packaging or engineering unit in Nashik.

  • Pune city offices of Nashik groups

Certain Nashik manufacturers maintain a sales office, a design desk or a registered presence in Pune in order to be near the OEM. In that case GST and income tax have to follow the place where supplies are made and management decisions are taken, and the location of the factory is only part of that picture.

  • Meetings in Pune

Where a bank review, a discussion with a customer or a year-end close requires our presence in Pune, we travel from Nashik for that meeting. The engagement is still run from Office at Plot 08, Eden Complex, Gangapur Road, Nashik 422222. No second office exists, and no Pune practice address is claimed.

Why the questions match Nashik's

Seen from the road, a machine shop in Chakan and a forging unit in Ambad have little in common. Their tax and finance questions are close, however, because both sell to the same type of customer and are frequently owned through the same family-group pattern. That pattern is set out on the Maharashtra page and the auto components page.

  • OEM and tier-one commercial terms

Delivery schedules, price revisions, quality debits and tooling advances govern revenue recognition and working capital. When these adjustments are not tracked in the accounts, the stock statement and the GST returns drift away from the figures on the customer portal, and the difference is usually found by the bank or the department first.

  • Cross-city groups

Where a group runs one plant near Pune and another at Sinnar or Ambad, stock and services moving between separate GST registrations are supplies. Common head-office costs must be routed to each unit. Since 1 April 2025 that route has been an Input Service Distributor registration in cases involving separate registrations.

  • Transfer pricing

An exporting group with an overseas associated enterprise needs arm's-length pricing and the accountant's report every year; so does an Indian company with a foreign parent. The work is done from Nashik, irrespective of where the factory stands.

  • Promoter and holding-company tax

Operating companies in two cities do not alter the fact that promoter tax and holding-company questions rest on one set of facts. We deal with them from Nashik alongside the factory work, so that a single adviser holds the complete record.

How we work with Pune clients from Nashik

From one office. Anil Khatri and Associates works from Office at Plot 08, Eden Complex, Gangapur Road, Nashik 422222 in Nashik. Pune clients are served from there, by the same Chartered Accountants who act for clients in Nashik district. The firm operates no office in Pune.

Remote for the regular cycle. GST reviews, support with returns, transfer pricing documentation, income-tax work and MIS are prepared on documents shared through a secure channel. Calls and video meetings are fixed at set points in each month.

Planned visits and Pune meetings. Stock counts, costing projects and job-work reconciliations are carried out in person, and so are some meetings with banks or customers. Dates are settled when the engagement begins. We attend in Pune when Pune is the proper place for the meeting; factory work at a unit of the same group in Nashik district is done at that unit.

Scope we do not take. An engagement that needs a team on site in Pune each week, for instance full monthly bookkeeping at a Pune factory, is outside what we accept. If a brief requires it, this is stated at the first meeting.

One named Chartered Accountant. A single person is answerable for the work, whether a question relates to the plant at Chakan or the sister unit at Sinnar.

When a Pune engagement fits a Nashik firm

A Pune engagement is most practical where the business is already connected to Nashik district. The connection might be a common OEM customer or a second unit at Sinnar. Promoters may live or bank in Nashik, or a group may want one firm to act for both locations.

Work that can be done at a distance includes:

  • GST reviews, registrations across locations, job work and replies to notices.
  • Transfer pricing for overseas or specified domestic transactions.
  • Taxation for companies and their promoters.
  • Manufacturing finance, covering costing, inventory and bank projections, with visits for the parts that must be done on site.

The Nashik estates in the same chain are described at /satpur/, /ambad/, /sinnar/ and on the Nashik page.

Common questions

Do you have an office in Pune?

No. The firm has a single office, in Nashik. We work with clients in Pune from our Nashik office, remotely and through planned visits, with meetings in Pune where the work calls for them.

Can you attend a meeting at our Pune plant or with our bank there?

Yes, where the engagement calls for it. Such meetings are arranged from Nashik, and the firm has no office in Pune.

We have units in Sinnar and near Chakan. Can one firm handle both?

Yes, and this is a frequent brief. GST, pricing between the units, stock reporting and the figures given to the bank are aligned across both locations, and the group is treated as one connected file.
